DevOps Engineer

SalesDesk is hiring. Our vision is to become the world’s leading B2B platform for remote selling. Not just a system of record, but a video-centric platform through which teams can sell, built on a no-code approach to data and workflow where real-time data is leveraged and not lost. Based in central London, we have just completed our first funding round, which will take us through to product launch and beyond. The role

Working alongside our full stack and UI engineering team you will be our first sole DevOps Engineer, taking a leading role in designing our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and much more. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has the ambition and ability to become Head of DevOps as SalesDesk develops.

We’re looking for someone to:

1. Take a leading role in the design and documentation of our infrastructure
   

2. Make code deployments fast and frictionless
   

3. Work closely with our engineering team to achieve excellent availability, fault-tolerance, scalability, and performance in our AWS deployments
   

4. Implement monitoring, alerts, and CI/CD
   

5. Implement DevOps best practices throughout our stack
   

6. Participate in the entire development life cycle, from requirements to deployment
   

7. Automate where possible!

Your background

1. 3-5 years post graduation experience, ideally in a fast moving tech start up environment
   

2. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject
   

3. An inquisitive mind
   

4. Strong technical and communication skills
   

5. 2+ years of experience in a DevOps position
   

6. Solid experience with AWS, especially IAM, CloudFormation and SAM
   

7. Experience with building, maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines
   

8. Strong experience with Docker/Kubernetes
   

9. Development experience with Node.js desirable
   

10. Comfortable with Bash
    

11. Git experience
    

12. Elasticsearch cluster administration experience
    

13. Understanding of common infosec vulnerabilities and best practices
    

14. A problem solving approach to your work
